2 Product Overview
The PA66 nylon cable gland (PG type) is designed for secure cable entry and strain relief in electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and control panels. Available in sizes from PG7 to PG63, it accommodates cable diameters from 3 mm to 51 mm with reliable IP68 protection against dust and water ingress.
The body is moulded from PA66 nylon with UL94V-2 flame retardant rating, combined with a NBR rubber sealing grommet that provides excellent cable retention and vibration resistance. The clamping claw design ensures strong pull-out protection while maintaining a watertight seal around the cable.
PG thread per DIN 40430 provides compatibility with standard PG threaded entries. The cable gland is suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, with chemical resistance against salt, weak acids, alkalis, alcohol, grease, and oil. Custom colours and sealing materials (EPDM, Silicone) are available on request.

What is the difference between PG, Metric, and NPT thread cable glands?
PG (Panzergewinde) is a German standard thread per DIN 40430, commonly used for cable entries. Metric (M) thread follows EN 60423 and is widely adopted in Europe. NPT is a US tapered thread. PG and Metric are not interchangeable. PG glands are still prevalent in many industrial applications.
What does IP68 mean for a cable gland?
