2 Product Overview
The H1Z2Z2-K 4mm² solar cable is a TUV-certified photovoltaic cable purpose-built for high-performance DC power transmission in solar PV systems. It meets the requirements of EN 50618:2014 and IEC 62930, making it suitable for use in European and international solar installations.
The cable uses high-purity tinned copper strands (Class 5 stranding per IEC 60228), offering flexibility for tight-radius routing while resisting oxidation and corrosion — an advantage for outdoor installations exposed to the elements over decades of service.
The double-layer XLPO (cross-linked polyolefin) insulation and jacket are produced via electron-beam cross-linking, yielding a material structure that withstands extreme temperatures (-40°C to +120°C conductor), UV radiation, ozone, and mechanical stress. The jacket is low smoke zero halogen (LSZH), suitable for indoor and confined-space installations.
Manufactured to rigorous quality standards under the management of SORIVO, each production batch is spark-tested at 10 kV AC and sample-tested at 6.5 kV AC to verify dielectric integrity. The cable is engineered for 25+ years of service in grid-connected solar power plants, commercial rooftops, BIPV projects, and off-grid PV systems.
