2 Product Overview
The PV1-F 2.5mm² solar cable is a TUV certified photovoltaic cable per 2PfG 1169/08.2007, designed for DC power transmission in residential and small commercial PV installations. It is widely used as module pigtail cables for interconnecting solar panels in series and parallel configurations.
The cable features a high-purity tinned copper conductor with Class 5 flexible stranding (49 strands × 0.25mm per IEC 60228), offering excellent flexibility for routing around module frames and through junction boxes while maintaining stable conductivity with a maximum DC resistance of 8.21 Ω/km. The tinned coating provides reliable corrosion resistance for decades of outdoor exposure.
The dual-layer XLPO (cross-linked polyolefin) insulation and jacket system is produced via electron-beam cross-linking, delivering outstanding thermal stability, UV resistance, and mechanical durability. With a compact outer diameter of just 5.4mm, this 2.5mm² cable is ideal for space-constrained wiring within module junction boxes and combiner boxes.
Manufactured to rigorous quality standards under the management of SORIVO, each production batch undergoes 10 kV AC spark testing and 6.5 kV AC dielectric testing to ensure consistent quality. The cable is engineered for 25+ years of service life in rooftop solar systems, ground-mounted arrays, and building-integrated PV applications.
