The SJOOW 12/3 medium duty portable cord is a UL62-listed, 300V-rated rubber portable cable for power tools, extension cords, and general workshop use. SJOOW stands for Service cord, Junior, Oil-resistant insulation, Oil-resistant jacket, Weather-resistant — the lighter-duty counterpart to SOOW.
This 12 AWG 3-conductor cable uses bare copper stranding (65 strands x 30 AWG) offering good flexibility for everyday portable power applications at 25 Amps rated ampacity.
The EPDM rubber insulation and CPE jacket provide oil, moisture, UV, and abrasion resistance at a lighter weight and smaller diameter than SOOW equivalents.
