2 Product Overview
The RVV multi-core flexible control cable is designed for light-duty control, signal transmission, and power supply applications in electrical appliances, instruments, and automation equipment. It conforms to GB/T 5023.5-2008 (equivalent to IEC 60227-5) and carries CCC certification for the Chinese market.
The Class 5 flexible stranded copper conductor ensures reliable conductivity and excellent flexibility for installation in confined spaces. The cable is available in 2 to 5 cores with cross sections from 0.5 mm² to 2.5 mm², covering a wide range of low-voltage control and signal applications.
The PVC insulation and PVC sheath provide reliable protection against moisture, mechanical impact, and mild chemical exposure. The flexible PVC compound enables easy routing in control panels, junction boxes, and cable trays without specialised tooling.
Manufactured to rigorous quality standards under the management of SORIVO, each batch is tested for conductor resistance, insulation thickness, and voltage withstand. Rated 300/300V at +70°C maximum operating temperature. For detailed company information, please visit sorivocable.com/about-us/.

5 FAQ
What does RVV stand for?
In the Chinese cable designation system, R = flexible (soft) conductor, V = PVC insulation, V = PVC sheath. RVV corresponds to the international designation 60227 IEC 52 (light duty, 300/300V).
What is the difference between RVV and RVVP?
RVV is unshielded. RVVP adds a braided copper wire shield plus aluminium foil for electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection, making it suitable for signal transmission in electrically noisy environments.
Can RVV cable be used outdoors?
Standard RVV is designed for indoor use in dry or damp environments. For outdoor installation, we recommend using a UV-stabilised or LSZH sheathed variant, or protecting the cable with conduit.
What colours are the individual cores?
For 2-core: Brown + Blue. For 3-core: Brown + Blue + Green/Yellow. For 4-core: Brown + Grey + Black + Green/Yellow. For 5-core: Brown + Blue + Grey + Black + Green/Yellow.
What is the temperature rating?
Standard RVV is rated for maximum operating temperature of +70°C. Heat-resistant variants (RVV-90) are available for applications requiring up to +90°C. The minimum installation temperature is 0°C.
