2 Product Overview
The 6491X H07V-R 1.5mm² single core cable is a BASEC-approved PVC insulated building wire designed for fixed wiring installations in conduit and trunking. It conforms to BS EN 50525-2-31 (formerly BS 6004) and carries the harmonised designation H07V-R, making it suitable for use across European and UK electrical installations.
The Class 2 stranded annealed copper conductor (7 strands × 0.53 mm per IEC 60228) provides excellent electrical conductivity and flexibility for routing through conduit systems. The 1.5 mm² cross-section is widely used for lighting circuits and small power applications in residential and commercial buildings.
The PVC (Type TI1) insulation delivers reliable dielectric strength with flame-retardant properties per IEC 60332-1. The insulation is designed for long-term service at temperatures up to +70°C, with good resistance to mechanical impact and abrasion during installation.
