2 Product Overview
The CU/XLPE/SWA/PVC 4×70mm² 0.6/1kV Armoured Power Cable is a heavy-duty low voltage power cable designed for three-phase power distribution in industrial, commercial, and infrastructure applications. Manufactured to IEC 60502-1, this four-core cable provides reliable power transmission with robust mechanical protection.
The cable features four 70mm² high-purity copper conductors with Class 2 stranded construction per IEC 60228, delivering excellent conductivity for high-current three-phase circuits. The XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene) insulation provides superior thermal performance with a 90°C continuous conductor rating and 250°C short-circuit tolerance, enabling higher ampacity compared to PVC-insulated cables of the same cross-section.
The SWA (steel wire armour) layer provides mechanical protection against impact, crushing, and rodent damage, while the PVC outer sheath delivers reliable protection against moisture, chemicals, and environmental exposure. The four-core configuration (typically brown, black, grey, and blue for phase and neutral identification) is ideal for three-phase distribution networks requiring a neutral conductor.
All production is managed under the quality system of SORIVO, with each batch undergoing 3.5 kV AC dielectric testing and routine conductor resistance verification. The cable is engineered for 30+ years of service life in power distribution and industrial applications. For detailed company information, please visit sorivocable.com/about-us/.
